Matthew Davis is a writer who lives in London.
His most recent book, A Biography of a Mountain, The Making and Meaning of Mount Rushmore, is the 2026 One Book South Dakota selection. He is the author of When Things Get Dark: A Mongolian Winter’s Tale and the founder of the Cheuse Center for International Writers at George Mason University.
